Dimpy Ganguly announced her engagement to her long time boyfriend Rohit Roy recently and also informed that she is getting married to her Dubai-based boyfriend Rohit who is a structural engineer on 27th November. Dimpy, the ex-wife of socialite Rahul Mahajan when asked whether she is going to invite Rahul to her wedding, she replied positively.
“I never thought about that, but now that you ask, why not? I believe in appreciating good things in a person and relationship. We were two different people trying too hard to make the marriage work, but it fell apart. Neither of us was at fault”, she affirms.
picture: gold bridesmaid dresses ukDimpy informed that her roka will be held in the first week of November. Dimpy and Rahul knew each other from school days but only confessed love for each other few years back.
She said that she met Rahul again in 2013 in Dubai and they fell for each other.
“We were from different schools and would meet only during fests, but we could never talk about our feelings for each other. And then, I moved on. Strangely, I bumped into him in Dubai in 2013, almost a decade later, and that’s when we confessed our feelings to each other.”
On October 12 this year, Rohit popped the question to Dimpy with a commitment ring and she promptly said yes.
It is heard when Dimpy was going through hard phase of her life, Rohit stood by her side as a strong pillar and helped her to get out of the troubled marriage.
Dimpy married Rahul Mahajan on the national television on the show ‘Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega’. Couple of months after marriage, trouble stuck their married life and Dimpy accused Rahul of domestic violence. In 2014, the duo separated mutually.
Both Rahul and Dimpy moved on and now Dimpy is set to start life in an altogether new way.
